Volunteer Opportunities

The SIF (Standards and Interoperability Forum) is a group of international volunteers that share the desire to help the development and support efforts of GEOSS (Global Earth Observing System of Systems) interoperability.  This particular group focuses on the standards and services used to facilitate interoperability between the various GEOSS components and services.

To register as a SIF contributor fill out the form here. Volunteers can specify the time commitment they are willing to make. Volunteers can work independently or  with a Regional Team. On this site, the GEOSS Standards Registry, there is a discussion forum area available for publishing comments, opinions, and suggestions regarding the various tasks engaged in. The forums are only available to SIF members.

If you wish to look at the volunteer opportunities available with other ICEO groups, please visit for a listing and information on how to contact the volunteer coordinator.
